The challenge

With the introduction of GST, the client wanted to automate and gain real-time screening of shop floor and inventories, closure of books and general best practices were the goal.

The client with operations spread across the country depended on legacy systems missing necessary features for system authorizations. Their complex manufacturing needed regular manual intervention. Growing needs of the organization coupled with the new policies, there was an immediate need for an easy to maintain, futuristic, and robust analytical solution.

Our approach

YASH experts worked closely with the client, engaged themselves proactively in their business operations to identify their current and future needs, and recommended a full-fledged implementation of SAP/S4HANA. It was configured to map all the processes to make them readily available and aligned to industry best practices. Delivered in an onsite-offshore fashion, along with a “Batch Card,” the solution allowed the client to follow product development compliance with GST regulations. The card specified the lot numbers, ingredients, handling, danger avoiding instructions, quantity, packing information, etc., giving the client a holistic view of their supply chain with simplified international trade. The barcodes generated became pivoting in tracking and tracing goods and inventory management.

Along with eliminating the inefficiencies of existing systems, the client achieved a complete adherence to export-import norms. Not only that, mobile and on-the-fly decision-making reduced the time taken for approvals, decreasing end consumer dissatisfaction.
