Curating an OEE solution for construction equipment manufacturer

Headquartered in America, the client, a Fortune 500 organization is world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines, and diesel-electric locomotives.

The challenge

The client faced hurdles in procuring the data on a common platform which affected their decision-making prowess in the long run.

The client wanted to integrate their shop floor machine controller data on the remote cloud platform to establish real-time monitoring of machine parameters and parts produced. They also didn’t have access to the track record of production as machines were working individually. Overall, the client aimed to have an overall view of all machines and their productivity.

Our approach

YASH Technologies experts analyzed the gaps and accordingly finalized machine parameters and KPI for 26 machines. The team thus connected and configured all the machines’ parameters in Kapeware/Devicewise. While a proxy server was set up interfacing with the machine controller to the IoT hub, the team also worked on productivity index for the overall plant and machine level whilst assigning data acquisition methodologies for every machine.

Through self analyzed reports with auto reports generation for machine level and plant data, the client could plan the roadmap for effective production.
